Knowledge is king.

Two practical e-books on electronic gold detecting by Trinityau / Ray Mills — forty-plus years of research, field technique, and equipment know-how, written so you can actually use it.

Knowledge Is King

Four nuggets of the work.

The more you know before you hit the goldfields, the better you do — and the more you enjoy it. Forty years of detecting boils down to these four.

Knowledge

Read before you walk. Detecting is not luck — it is study, technique, and pattern recognition built over years.

Research

History, geology, claims, water. Most of the gold is found long before the coil ever passes over it.

Equipment

The right detector, the right coil, the right ground balance. Tools matter — and so does knowing how to run them.

Fortitude

You get up, you go out, you put in the day. Gold or no gold, you come back tomorrow. That is the whole game.

About Trinityau

Real field knowledge, on the page.

Trinityau is a small publisher built around one thing: helping people actually find gold with a metal detector. The catalog is two e-books — both written by Trinityau / Ray Mills from forty-plus years on the ground.

Detecting is not going out on a whim with a detector and walking over ground that may or may not even have gold in it. It is research, feet on the ground, eyes that see what is really there. It takes the right equipment, real knowledge, and the fortitude to keep moving day after day — gold or no gold.

Get some education, find out what you need, see what is going to work for you, get out and find some gold. Good luck to all you guys and gals.

What You Get

Education, equipment, experience.

Both books are built from hands-on experience and 170+ articles written for the California Mining Journal. Full-color images. Small enough to carry on your phone in the field.

01

Education

Why detecting works, how to read ground, and what the old guys — Roy Lagal, Charles Garrett, Jim Straight — actually taught. The foundation everything else sits on.

02

Research & Field Method

How to research a site, read the geology, plan a trip, and walk ground efficiently. The work that happens before the coil ever touches dirt.

03

Equipment & Technique

What to look for in a detector and coil, how to ground-balance, swing speed, target recovery, and the small habits that separate a good day from a wasted one.

The Author

Trinityau / Ray Mills.

Ray has been interested in finding gold since he was young. After the military, he linked up with the old timers — Roy Lagal, Charles Garrett, Jim Straight — and started hunting for gold with electronic detectors. Forty years on, Trinityau / Ray Mills is well-known in the gold detecting world.

He has written over 170 articles for the California Mining Journal. Both e-books are built from that work, plus everything he taught in a two-day course he ran for more than a decade — thousands of students, never one dissatisfied.

After the military, a broken back, and a complete shoulder replacement, he is still going strong.

The Books

Two e-books, one on the way.

The first edition and an all-new second edition — companions, not a reprint. Full color, delivered as a compressed file you can carry on your phone in the goldfields.
